Welcome
Ramblings, June 2005
The May quilting cruise to Alaska is over and it's time to get back to reality.
If you've never cruised to Alaska, check it out... there are a few openings in
one of my applique classes for the 2006 cruise. The next book project is in
the works and will feature the 'pretty easy' techniques that I use for making
templates for marking my own quilts. Just as with the original Welsh Quilting
Pattern & Design Handbook, I'll publish it myself and it will be available from
the usual sources. It's time to settle in and get some work done. My studio is
ready for teaching and a few classes in quilt marking, hand quilting and needleturn
applique will be available. It's a ways to drive to come to me for classes but
it's worth it. Studio classes are very small and there's lots of personal attention.
The setting is like a park and it's a very peaceful place to work. Another new project is HodgePodgeThreads.com which will showcase some of my less traditional work. Watch for this later this year.
